Nurture in Nature

Meet Our Staff

Hello, I 'm Pip. I've been in education for over 30 years, from lecturing at University and teaching English in The Netherlands, to being a qualified teacher specialising in the Early Years. I particularly enjoyed supporting learners on a care farm and providing surf therapy to children whilst working for The Wave Project. I love being being outside with the children, supporting them to learn through play and seeing them build resilience and develop problem solving skills in nature is amazing. When not at Nurture, I'll be found surfing with my own children, swimming and running in the wood

Hello! My name is Kerri. I'm a level 3 qualified childcare professional and I have worked in Early Years Education for 20 years.
During this time, I've had the opportunity to experience a variety of roles in different settings.
Having seen how beneficial it is for children to enjoy the freedom to explore and learn from nature and watch the impact it has on their confidence and development, I was delighted to join Nurture in Nature. As a parent myself, with two energetic children and a dog we love spending time exploring the local countryside and beaches. I'm passionate about providing a nurturing and educational environment for all children to thrive in.

Hello I’m Kat, I have been working in Early Years and Education for 20 years, I’m a Level 3 qualified childcare professional that really enjoys watching children flourish and achieve amazing things amongst nature. I have a real passion for outdoor learning and the benefits it has for children and adults alike, also for conservation and wildlife. I am a mother of 3 myself and when I’m not at work we spend our time exploring new countries, on the beach and surfing.

Hello, I’m Linda and I’m very excited to be joining the Forest School Team! I am a qualified N.N.E.B and I have worked in Early Years Education for more than 30 years. Over the past 15 years I’ve worked with the Pre-School age group, half of that time spent at The Folly in Dalwood. During this period, I have witnessed the huge benefits of the outside environment for all children’s holistic development and especially for those that find a more structured learning environment challenging. I have two grown-up children myself; one still living at home, and I love to spend family time with them. I prefer to use as much of my free time as possible outside, I enjoy cycling and going on countryside and coastal walks with my dog and friends. When at home I’m outside maintaining my garden or inside listening to different genres of music, I also enjoy going to see live performances.
